The Highlights From Brick Dog Fest 2014

Brick furriest residents sniffed, fetched and barked their way through Windward Beach Park Sunday, as the township’s annual Dog Fest celebration went off without a hitch despite the cloudy skies.

Mayor John Ducey kicked off the festivities, organized by the Rotary Club of Brick, by reiterating the importance of America’s 82 million dog owners and welcomed a few thousand of them to the township for a day of fun, treats and – of course – prizes for the hairiest, most colorful, loudest barker, and whoever could perform the best trick, among other categories.

The Allenhurst, N.J. police department was also on hand with their K9s to demonstrate the dogs’ obedience, agility and strength.

We’ve compiled a photo gallery of some of our favorite dogs of the day, and hope you enjoy them!
