Brick Cops Nab Wawa Credit Card Theft Suspects

Brick police have apprehended two suspects in a credit card theft case that originated outside of one of the township’s Wawa stores

“Thanks to numerous calls from the public,” a statement from Sgt. Henry Drew said, the Brick Township Police Department was able to identify the two suspects who were captured on surveillance video at the Wawa located at 116 Brick Blvd.



Thomas W. Quinn, 20, of Arrowhead Park Drive, and Naverine A. Celeste, 21 of Sunrise Street turned themselves in at Brick Police Headquarters on Oct. 7

Both suspects were charged with theft by deception and computer theft (utilizing a bank debit card). Bail was set by Judge Robert LePore on Quinn at $15,000 cash.

Celeste was released on a criminal summons with a pending court date.

“Additional charges are expected when the case is presented to an Ocean County Grand Jury,” a statement from police said. “The Brick Police would like to thank the numerous people who called in and assisted with this investigation.”

According to police, on Sept. 23, a victim dropped her credit card in the parking lot of the WaWa located at 116 Brick Blvd. Shortly thereafter the suspects were observed using the credit card inside the Wawa and at other locations.
