Arnold Avenue In Point Pleasant Borough to Close For 3 Days

Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week for construction, officials announced Tuesday night.

The road will be impassable between Maple Avenue and Pine Bluff due to construction, according to the Point Pleasant Borough Office of Emergency Management.

Arnold Avenue northbound will be closed at Route 88; the detour will be Route 88 to Rue Avenue, back to Arnold. Arnold Avenue southbound will be closed at Trenton Avenue; the detour will be Trenton Avenue to Rue Avenue to Route 88.

The office said it had just been notified of the construction around 5 p.m., though it may have been planned earlier.

The detour will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
