Congratulations to Brick Police Officer Joshua Jensen, who was promoted to the rank of sergeant at a township council meeting Tuesday night.

Jensen is a Brick native, having graduated from Brick Memorial High School in 1999, according to Chief Nils R. Bergquist. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Thomas Edison State College and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation during his career with the department, the chief said.



Additionally, Jensen has received the Combat Cross and an Award of Valor from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.

Jensen, as a sergeant, will serve as a squad supervisor in the department’s operations division, Bergquist said.
