Ocean County Health Department
The Ocean County Freeholders this week approved the appoint of former Brick Township Councilwoman Ruthanne Scaturro to the Ocean County Board of Health.
Scaturro, who also serves as an Ocean County Library commissioner, will take the unexpired term of former Board of Health member Warren H. Wolf, which ends March 23, 2016.
Wolf, the legendary Brick football coach, former mayor, county freeholder and state assemblyman, now 84, has given up a number of offices and appointments he’s held in recent years, including a seat on the Brick Township Board of Education. Last summer, Brick school officials renamed an elementary school on Chambers Bridge Road after Wolf.
