The school has been a longtime supporter of finding a cure for pediatric cancer and helping families who are currently going through the difficult ordeal. The Standing Ovation Dance faculty and parents have created an annual Charity Gift Auction to help local charities and also support their Competitive Edge Dance Team. For the second year, they have teamed up with The Ashley Lauren Foundation, a New Jersey independent non-profit foundation established in 2005 to support and work hands-on with families who have a child with pediatric cancer. The ALF helps families locally on the Jersey Shore and statewide. Their goal is to ease the journey when pediatric cancer is diagnosed by providing direct financial and material assistance. They also provide a grant a wish program to put smiles on children’s faces while they are going through treatment.
