It may not feel like spring, but clocks “spring ahead” this weekend as Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday at 2 a.m.

With the changing of clocks comes the familiar reminder for local residents to change the batteries in their homes’ smoke detectors. To help, on Saturday, representatives from Brick’s fire services will be at the Home Depot on Route 88 and Lowes on Route 70 beginning at 9 a.m., and at the Costco on Route 70 beginning at 10 a.m. to distribute free batteries for your detectors while supplies last.
