Residents of Brick’s Cedarwood Park section are next on the list of residents whose roads will be improved and repaved.

The township council this week voted in favor of soliciting bids for the project. The roads included in the bid specifications include Round Avenue, Beacon Avenue, Gloucester Avenue, Cypress Avenue, Central Avenue, Jackson Avenue, Myrtle Avenue, Mercer Avenue, Fairmount Avenue and Lynnwood Avenue.

Once bids are solicited, a contractor will be selected by the council and the project will be awarded. At that point, the timeline for when the work will be completed will be decided.

Residents of Cedarcroft were told the very same! What’s up with that? Under the Worst First program I challenge anyone to come up with a road in worse disrepair than Shawnee Lane in Northern Cedarcroft.

Most of the neighborhoods off mantoloking are in need of the road improvements

lets give the opportunity for the job to be given a local contractor based out of brick town or local towns area. with adequate equipment but not a conglomerate like earl or one of these massive companies. If we can give a local contractor that can handle the job, It will more likely bring that money back to our local community.
