It will be breezy and rainy, but not snowy or icy, in Ocean County when a storm rolls in overnight between Monday and Tuesday. In fact, only a tiny sliver of North Jersey is under any threat of significant winter weather.
Rain, though, will be heavy at times overnight, according to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, and winds could gust as high as 25 m.p.h. The overnight low will around 40.
Heavy rain will continue through 7 a.m. Tuesday, at which point it will give way to showers that will last through about 4 p.m. The threat of showers will continue Tuesday night until 1 a.m. Wednesday. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. It will be breezy on Tuesday, with an east wind 17 to 22 m.p.h. becoming west 10 to 15 m.p.h. in the afternoon. Tuesday’s high will be 57 degrees.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey, as well as Carbon and Monroe counties in Pennsylvania, where snow and sleet could accumulate up to an inch before a changeover to rain is expected before sunrise Tuesday.
