A search of an apartment following a monthlong investigation into drug distribution led to the seizure of about 900 decks of heroin, quantities of other drugs, and the arrest of four suspects.

According to police, officers who came to serve the warrant at the apartment first safely quarantined a pit bull dog before making entry into the apartment. Inside the home, 30-year-old James Wallace and 29-year-old Jessie Wallace, both of Lakewood, 26-year-old Iman Benton, of Jackson, and 19-year-old Frankie Vasquez, of Whiting, were located by officers.
