Brick is thanking veterans on the most patriotic day of the year, Mayor John Ducey announced this week.

All veterans and their spouses and dependent children will receive free parking and beach access this July 4, said Ducey, who borrowed the idea from a Monmouth County town.

“It’s a great way to honor the men and women of our country who gave so much of their lives, their health and themselves to defend our country,” said Ducey.

What beach AND HOW WILL THEY GET DOWN TO IT?

Perfect. The most insane, ridiculous day to go to the beach is now free. No thanks. I’ll enjoy the air conditioned comfort of home rather then dealing with crowds, bennies & $7 ice cream cones.

Cannot do enough for the Veterans….GREAT IDEA……As a matter of fact, the town should increase the Veteran tax discount (which is a measly $250), to at least $2500! Now that would be helping our veteran families!
