The new Roy Rogers restaurant on Brick Boulevard will open this week, the restaurant said in an announcement Monday.
The new location at 72 Brick Boulevard – near the road’s intersection with Molly Lane – will officially open this Thursday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m., the company said.
The Brick location will be the second in Ocean County, the first being the long-running location on Route 9 in Pine Beach, which is owned by the same franchisee as the new Brick restaurant.

The chain is known for offering the “big three” items that its customers – nicknamed ROYalists – desire most: hamburgers, roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken. The chain is named for Roy Rogers, an actor who frequently portrayed cowboys in western films.
“Roy embodied the honest, wholesome image desired for the brand,” the chain’s website says. “His genuine western appreciation for quality roast beef and “down home cooking” provided an authenticity that customers could relate to.”
Today’s Roy Rogers menu includes breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy, pancakes, egg platters and sandwiches, and chipped beef. Lunch and dinner offerings include the aforementioned burgers, roast beef and chicken dishes, served in a variety of styles.
