Brick Man, 65, Goes Missing

Police are asking the public’s help in locating a Brick Township man who has been reported missing.

Michael Butterly, 65, has been missing from Brick since noon Thursday, police said. Butterly was last seen near his residence walking in the area of the River Rock restaurant on Riviera Drive.

He was wearing a green tee shirt, brown shorts and dark work boots. He has a heavier beard and no lip ring( as it is shown in the picture). He has no car and no cell phone.

Anyone who spots Butterly is asked to call police at 732-262-1100.

    (Updated, 11:30 a.m.) Brick Township police said Michael Butterly, who went missing Thursday, has been found.

    “He has been found and is doing okay,” Brick Sgt. Neal Pedersen said Friday morning

    Butterly, 65, had disappeared about noon Thursday, Pedersen said, and had been seen walking in the area of the River Rock restaurant on Riviera Drive. Details on where he was found were not released.
