Police executed a search warrant on a property off Route 539 in Whiting Tuesday morning, discovering a marijuana growing operation and arresting two residents of the property.

The 10 a.m. raid was conducted after an investigation by the Manchester police department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, Capt. Todd Malland said.

During the search of the home and property, evidence of a marijuana grow operation was uncovered along with two long guns and a high capacity rifle magazine, Malland said. Approximately 2.5 pounds of marijuana were seized in addition to paraphernalia associated with the growing, harvesting, packaging and distribution of marijuana.

Joseph W. Schweitzer, 23, and Karen M. Schweitzer, 67, both residents of the property, were arrested.

Joseph Schweitzer was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set for Joseph Schweitzer at $25,000 with a 10 percent option. He was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to Ocean County Jail.

Karen Schweitzer charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released on a complaint summons.

The elites want you high on this stuff….keep the American people quiet while we rob them and take away their liberties….

    • Mac

They are not taking away our liberties. You are willingly giving them away for nanny state security of sissy-chicks. Perhaps you should become more familiar with the subject you are trashing. I know I’d enjoy your comments more if you were a bit more enlightened on the subject.

  • Surfrider

Stop with busting the marijuana people. Put the police to better use with the heavy drugs. We waste so much manpower ($) on this, on something that will eventually be legal for sure. And shame on New Jersey for making it so hard for patients who need marijuana for medical reasons to get a hold of.

    • Mac

In Philly, if you get pulled over with an ounce of grass, they either laugh and/or write you a parking ticket for $25. In these Jersey bedroom communities, if they find a roach in the ashtray, five more cops and a dog show up. Drug bust, so embarrassing for them, and so much nonsense for you.

      • Frank Rizzo

Maybe you are right about inner city cops acting that way while they remain available for shootings and serious calls. I want my suburban police to be petty with these things…I want my suburban cops to be petty with traffic laws in hopes of these small things which cause them to make contact lead to bigger arrests and a reputation not to bring trouble to my suburban town.

      • Mac

Then you have what you want: a grossly overpriced police state of sissychick residents that can only provide meaningless respect from those that willingly give up their freedoms for false security. It’s not that there is anyone left in your world that can watch the backs of local law enforcement beyond the token whining.

      • Frank Rizzo

Either you took the test and was rejected….or you have an extensive criminal past

      • Mac

Your narrow little world never ceases to amaze me. Perhaps someday you will finally find Wally World, and a whole new universe will open up for you.

      • Frank Rizzo

And drug addicted people like you who have an extensive criminal past will show up and demand to change it to fit your desires. And that is what is causing America and its middle class to disappear….one thing about he hasidics…they don’t have tattooed drug using kids….they live in their own Wally World….we need one for the white middle class Catholics and Cristian’s can thrive as they are doing….

      • Mac

Can you actually listen to yourself while looking into a mirror without cracking up?

      • Frank Rizzo

I sure can….where am I wrong….Hasidic…Korean….Indians….none of them are suffering from tattoos and heroin…just whites…..

      • Mac

It must be so sad to be you. By all means, tell us all you know, including how to save ourselves as the white race. I’m sure others like me have the 30 seconds needed to hear you out.

      • Frank Rizzo

It’s you who is stuck in your own world of Bricktucky….the Indian kids…Koreans…hasidics…they are all way ahead of these fat sloppy tattooed white people……they have plenty of money…..I do not see too many sloppy dressed orthodox…..it’s a decline of your culture….get out of your comfort zone and look around…..the blacks are handed everything while your kids get their arms sleeved in tats and pray for legal marijuana

      • J W

What crap is this about tattoos and suffering? Huh? In what psychopathic paranoiac land are tattoos killing only white people? And in what world is heroin killing only white people? It;’s been a huge problem in black and hispanic inner city neighborhoods and nobody cared about it. Then doctors started giving out dope pills to everyone and it became a white problem and as usual you racist piece of trash want to play the victim as you ignore away the plight of everyone who isn’t white and doesn’t exist. Serious Frank, go burn a cross while drunk- hopefully you’ll be hoisted on your own petard and we’ll all be done with you.

      • Frank Rizzo

Tattoo yourself and suffer the consequences of people looking down at you…..stupid white kids are on their way to the level of the ghettos kids with tattoos, fat body’s, and drugs…sloppy fat high white people leasing cars and struggling along while they own nothing….

      • J W

There’s that white nationalist crap again. And you get angry when I call you a racist white supremacist Klan boss. Well, maybe that’s because it’s true you sad, hateful old man.

      • J W

lol @ tattooed drug using kids. You are so effin stupid.

  • Goodgrief

Sadly, marijuana-related traffic fatalities in Colorado have increased 62 percent since 2013. According to HealthZette Editor Carleen Wild, Drivers testing positive for marijuana were a factor in 21 percent of all Colorado traffic deaths in 2015; that is up from only 10 percent in 2009.
According to Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) data, the latest numbers show a dramatic spike in traffic-related fatalities in Colorado attributed to marijuana use in the almost four years since the state legalized the drug.

    • J W

Bah, nonsense. People have been smoking pot for a long time and alcohol is worse and always has been.

      • Goodgrief

You over simplify the issue and making another problem substance legal will not be a good thing.

Hope this does not make me a racist for not agreeing with you.

      • Mac

Yes and no. Most people that already smoke pot truly don’t give a damn if it is legalized or not. It’s available anywhere and everywhere you go already, and it’s cheaper on the street than it is in stores that sell it legally. I doubt there are anymore native Colorado residents smoking pot now than before it became legal. I attribute most of any increase in accidents to out-of-state bennies over-shopping in a brand new candy store.

      • Frank Rizzo

Stay high…I hope your kids do too

      • J W

We all know how alcohol prohibition worked out in the 30s. The only reason weed is illegal is because well to do society wanted an excuse to lock up us black people, especially the super cool jazz greats. This country’s laws exist to oppress us. They are a tool of white power. Decriminalize pot now and release all my people in the cell blocks for providing the white kids with a little grass.

      • Mac

and the ‘I bought you, I own you’ campaign contributions from the drug companies that force people to buy their overpriced drugs that pot cheaply, safely, and practically replaces

      • J W

Indeed. If every junkie in Bricktucky was smoking cheap and harmless weed, there wouldn’t be any overdoses or deaths. Just very busy pizza delivery drivers. But nooooo… we gotta dispense prescription strength heroin to people with bad backs because profits before people.

      • Mac

it’s become the American way, not to mention a county prosecutor’s soapbox to a higher government level of BS

    • Mac

Again, questionable stats. Were these drivers actively stoned on pot just prior to these deadly accidents, or had they simply smoked some pot the day before. Real drugs leave your system within 24-72 hours. Pot can take up to six months to clear your system.
When you find a joint that can keep you stoned for six months, I’ll willingly give up driving.
