A tropical storm watch has been issued for the entire length of the New Jersey coast as Hurricane Hermine is forecast to affect the area this weekend.

The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center, release at 5 p.m., has moved the track of the storm slightly east, meaning it will be a bit farther away from New Jersey, but the storm is also expected to stall off the coast, leading to a longer period of foul weather and, conceivably, more rain.

Hermine is predicted to be a “post-tropical” system by the time it reaches New Jersey, but will still pack sustained winds of about 60 m.p.h., the NHC predicted in its latest outlook.

According to the Tropical Storm Watch Statement issued by the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to begin affecting the region Saturday and remain off the coast for the length of the holiday weekend. The statement said tidal flooding impacts are likely, though at the moment, storm surge impacts will be “little.”

with Labor Day weekend facing a possible wipe-out, I’m preparing for another sneak attack fire from Hurricane Sandy in the Seasides again – practice makes perfect as history repeats itself, and it is soooooo profitable for those connected

      The old “Bic Lighter”?

      • Mac

Yep. The $5 million dollar lighter. Couldn’t trust the outsider that bid to recover it for only $1 million dollars.

Hey Brandy. Good to hear from you. Tried finding your other local posts from the Norcross article a couple of months back but not much I turned up allows posts, and the couple I tried gives censorship a whole new dimension. Aside from a few comments brought to my attention through Disqus, I don’t get there much, but I’m sure you know that. Perhaps if I was able to spend less time reassuring my family that the bulletproof windows in my house haven’t been replaced whenever we go out would help, but really, what fun would that be? :-)))))))))))

Let’s see what comes from “Hermine”, I feel we can expect more of the same as far as corruption goes. I’m just happy the actual storm is not going to be as bad as “Sandy”, but it is still on tract to do some damage.
        Stay safe!

        Thanks. You stay safe also.
As for Christie, it looks like Trump took Christie’s plight to heart and turned Christie into his own personal mop detail.
