The Brick police department’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Selective Enforcement Unit served a search warrant in the Lake Riveria section of the township Friday, executing a search warrant that police said was the result of a drug distribution investigation that spanned several weeks.
Officers raided the home, the address of which was not disclosed in a statement from police, at 4:50 p.m. Friday. According to Capt. Vincent Pacitti, several bags of marijuana – under 50 grams – packaging material and $260 were seized during the warrant service.
Garrett Nilan, a 23-year-old Brick resident, was arrested and charged with distribution of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Nilan was not able to post $25,000 bail and was transported to Ocean County Jail. He was not listed as an inmate in the jail on Saturday.
