It’s not easy to live on a billboard, but that’s what Andy Chase of local radio station 105.7 The Hawk has been doing all week.
In what has become an annual Shore staple, the radio host is spending the week atop the billboard as part of a radiothon to raise funds for Oceans of Love, an organization which assists kids with cancer and their families in Ocean County. The promotion raised tens of thousands of dollars for the organization by Thursday, and will continue through Friday.
Anyone interested in donating can visit the site, located in the Target/Lowe’s parking lot on Hooper Avenue in Toms River. Those who wish to donate can also call 877-HAWK-1057 to make a pledge over the phone or donate online at the station’s website.
