Brick Township Chamber of Commerce
Brick Township’s Chamber of Commerce will host a gala in December to mark its 60th anniversary, while at the same time honoring the organization’s executive director, who has announced her retirement.
Michele Eventoff, executive director, is retiring after 25 years of service to the chamber and will be honored at the dinner. The 2017 leadership team for the Chamber of Commerce will also be installed that evening.
“Twenty-five years is a long time to stay at one job,” Eventoff said in a recent e-mail to chamber members. “This position and its responsibilities were tailor-made for me. I can honestly say that there were very few days that I wasn’t happy to come to work, even when times had been challenging. You all made it so. I realize how fortunate I am to be able to say that.”

“I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to get to know so many generous, caring, industrious and creative people,” she added.
The event will take place Dec. 8 at Crystal Point Yacht Club. The evening’s celebration will begin at 6 p.m., with an open bar cocktail party. The program and celebration, with entertainment by the 10 piece band The Jazz Lobsters, will begin at 7 p.m.
Sponsorships are available and many of them include invitations for guests. In addition, a special Keepsake Commemorative Journal is being created that will feature photos spanning the last 60 years.
