Brick police arrested a local man on a lewdness charge after a traffic stop, which came after a resident called.

The call came into police at about 11 a.m. Nov. 9, Capt. Vincent Pacitti said.

Upon arrival at Civic Plaza, where the unidentified act was reported, officers were advised that the vehicle had left the area, travelling north on Chambers Bridge Road.

The caller was able to provide officers with the vehicle license plate, and a subsequent investigation on scene led to the identification of the suspect as Aaron S. Gut, 26, of Lakewood, Pacitti said.

Detectives Thomas Cooney and Joseph Leskowski took over the investigation and ultimately charged Gut with Lewdness.

A warrant was issued by the Brick Township Municipal Court, and bail was set at $1000 cash. Gut was arrested and processed at Brick Police Headquarters. Gut was released after posting bail, with a pending court date.

Yuck! It seems like this could be a very messy ‘he said, she said’ court case. The real question is: Will they have to go to the video.
