Brick officials this week approved a repaving of a neighborhood in the township’s Herbertsville section.

Numerous streets in Riviera Beach are included in a repaving project for which the township has decided to seek bids. Once bids from contractors are received, the township will award a contract.

The streets included in the project are: 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd avenues; as well as Calvin Court, Riviera Drive, Prospect Street, Morris Avenue, Branch Boulevard, Walnut Drive, Ward Avenue and Main Avenue.

for at least 6 years now residents of Vannote Place have patiently waited and been promised a repaving and drainage correction. So what happened here ?

Dan, I was curious about something and wondered if you knew the answer. When the town decides to repave a road, on what criteria is the decision based? Observations by DPW? Complaints from residents? Or is it based on how long it’s been since it was last paved? I’m guessing it’s a combination of things. Can you take the guessing out?
