Some of the stores will be closing immediately, but all of the remaining locations on the list will be closed by the first week of April, the company said.

In the midst of it second bankruptcy within two years, RadioShack has struggled to compete with Amazon.com and other online retailers who often offer electronics accessories at discount prices.

Stores do it to themselves. Little to no real customer service or stock. It is not worth playing in traffic. Still I recall Radio Shack’s Westfield store and also having an old antenna phone repaired at the above locale. Shopping online can be a real challenge as well. Try finding out if an area rug is white, off /white, ivory, beige or tan as an example. East Indians make no such distinctions when they export. Sizes from China? A total joke. Ugh.

how could they have prevented this….we need to shut the internet off to create jobs in retail once again. Now Payless Shoes is going out of business…

Again, stores need to stock. Locally they really don’t. I shop in NYC, Florida, and Monmouth County. Locally the stores have very little. Customer service lacking as is the wage they pay kids to do an adult job. Which Pay Less is closing? Could be a case of too many stores. One on Hooper Ave and one by Shoprite. I find their shoes a bit flimsy. Okay for a slipper or summer shoe is all.

Every pay less..its bankruptcy. Just like Sears. How can a store pay rent and insurance and electric and employees and compete with a website that Works out of warehouse and serves the whole planet.

Radio Shack lasted longer than expected with all the big retailers selling items cheaper only thing they had over retailers was knowledgeable sales help

    No surprise.
