Brick residents are on a lucky streak.
Another township resident has claimed a $50,000 payout – this time from the from the Jersey Cash 5 game, which was purchased in town.
There was no desire for Scott Rhoads, a self-employed furniture mover, to take his time claiming the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot winning ticket from last night’s drawing, lottery officials said. Rohoads has been playing the same set of five numbers, daily, for the past two years, waiting for this moment to happen, said Judith Drucker, spokeswoman for the state lottery.
After the drawing, Scott checked the winning numbers on his phone using the Lottery App and immediately recognized his numbers as the winners. He immediately went to lottery headquarters to claim his prize.
His was the sole ticket that matched all five numbers drawn winning the $242,401 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Monday, June 12 drawing. Thewinning numbers were: 10, 12, 28, 36 and 42 and the XTRA number was: 05. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is the 7-Eleven store at 667 Mantoloking Road.
Brick has had two recent lottery winners who took home runner-up prizes.
