Sliders, anyone?

White Castle, the fast food restaurant known for its small burgers and chicken rings,is proposing to open a new location in Brick nearly seven years after previously abandoning plans to do so.

White Castle representatives will come before the township’s planning board June 14, seeking approval to construct a location at 2778 Hooper Avenue, an outparcel of the Riverwalk shopping center near the intersection of Brick Boulevard. The shopping center also includes Outback Steakhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings.

The White Caste restaurant would include a drive-through lane, the application states.

White Castle has long sought to build a location in Brick – previously, they proposed to build at the same location they are considering now – but the company never followed through and withdrew its application before the planning board.

There are currently two White Castle restaurants in Ocean County –  a long-standing location in Toms River that is slated for expansion, and a new location in Lacey Township.

The latest application is scheduled to heard June 14 at 7 p.m. at the township municipal complex.

Personally, No Thanks! But I am sure they will do good here in Brick. Hey, it is a ratable and we can always use business property taxes to help hold down residential property taxes.

Young people do not eat these. Fast food is switching to more healthy items which is why we see burger king going out of business. This will close as many other white castles have closed

Yeah! Young people don’t like to get drunk or high and eat a pile of small tasty burgers. We HATE doing that. It’s the worst.

I correct myself…young people who do not live at home in their 30s playing video games and dressing like a 10th grader….

All shucks Frank. Tell us about the time when men wore suits all the time and you would take your best gal out for a big steak dinner on a Friday night. You know I simpler time when men were men and women were women and you didn’t get upset on the internet about a burger chain.
