Brick has dispatched a total of 92 snow plows to clear streets, officials said Thursday, as the Shore deals with the first major snowstorm of 2018.

The first shift of plows will work until 9 p.m., then the second shift will work from 9 p.m. to 12 noon Friday.

Crews will open a lane on every street; after that, they will go back to begin clearing streets from curb to curb and pushing back snow at intersections and corners.

“We appreciate your patience,” the township said in an announcement.

A blizzard warning remains in effect until 7 p.m. Then frigid temperatures will move in – the high Friday is expected to be just 18, with wind chills in the single digits.

How come my garbage hasnt been picked up yet?
Are they picking up leaves tomorrow?

Garbage will be picked up the day before your recycling day. There is no leaf pickup ever because soggy bags are so attractive. Here in town we all string our Christmas lights around the soggy bags creating quite the festive look. Then there is the Easter pine tree season when residents put trees to the curb sometime around March so they may adorn the roads til mid June. This is the kickoff to redneck lawn season where residents don’t so much keep a lawn as much as sand and crabgrass. This is generally adorned with old sofas, defunct cars and dollar store florals. Assorted pink flamingo or gnome ornaments complete the look.

When Acropolis was Mayor there were 2 storms that dropped approximately 30 inches of snow each. The dems complained about the snow removal time being too slow.
Ducey should have all the roads cleared by tomorrow morning work rush hour. Lets see.

During the Acropolis era, the Residents complained because it took a week to get some roads plowed. Ours never did get plowed and when you would call up the DPW or Town Hall they would have the gall to say: You live on a dead end street and that does not get plowed-my response: well the mailman delivers my tax bill on a dead end street.
It wasn’t a D vs. R complaint. It was RESIDENTS STUCK IN THEIR HOUSES IF YOU LIVED ON A DEAD END STREET COMPLAINT.
Also the Brick Police need to start ticketing people that leave their cars out on the street because then no plowing is done. (Are you one of them?)
