Officials from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst notified residents across the region that service members will be training with munitions that could carry the occasional loud noise to your home.
The testing will be conducted through Monday, Aug. 20, the base said in a statement. Troops will be training with the “big stuff,” a statement from the base said, including Howitzers and mortars. Overcast or cloudy weather can amplify the noise, according to officials.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we train America’s fighting force,” the statement said.
