The Brick Township council on Tuesday night approved a $762,954 contract to repave a number of roads in the Woodland Valley development in the township’s Herbertsville section.
The contract was awarded to Meco Inc., of Clarksburg, Monmouth County. Meco had the low bid on the project, township attorney Kevin Starkey said.
The contract calls for the reconstruction, milling and overlay of Winding River Road, Manasquan Court, Winding River Court, Albermarle Road and Hill Drive.
Generally, township officials have said, roadwork gets underway about a month after a contract is awarded following a pre-construction meeting.
