The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a man who is accused of false identification to purchase a Rolex watch in Point Pleasant Beach earlier this summer. His photo is attached to this story.
The Rolex, valued at $8,774, was purchased at Gold Fever on Arnold Avenue June 22, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office.
“The man provided the shop sales person false identification to purchase the watch and the credit card company ultimately reversed the transaction,” Della Fave said.
Once located, the individual is facing charges of theft and possible identity theft, Della Fave said.
Anyone who can identify or provide information regarding the man’s whereabouts is being asked to contact Detective Lindsay Llauget at 732-929-2027, ext. 3462. All provided information will be kept strictly confidential, said Della Fave.
