A Brick Township woman suffered minor injuries in a Toms River traffic accident Monday morning, police said.
Police and medical personnel were called to the intersection of Bay and North Bay avenues at 10:28 a.m. Monday, said police spokesman Ralph Stocco.
According to Stocco, Linda Hallock, 69, of Toms River was traveling east on Bay Avenue in her 2006 Nissan when she made a left turn in front of Virginia Chandler, 46, of Brick who was traveling west on Bay Avenue in a 2006 Chrysler.

After Chandler’s vehicle was struck it spun around and then struck an unmarked Toms River Police car operated by Detective Tom Grosse, who was stopped facing south waiting at a red light, Stocco said.
Hallock and Chandler were both transported to Community Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Sgt. Gene Bachonski investigated the crash and issued a summons for careless driving to Hallock, Stocco said.
