Dottie’s House, a long term transitional housing program for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence, is planning a triathlon and casino night to help raise funds for the organization.
Dottie’s House relies solely on fundraising and donations to keep its doors open, organizers say.
The triathlon will take place at Island Beach State Park Sunday, Oct. 12 at 8:30 a.m. It will feature a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike race and and 5K run. There will also be a duathlon and aqua velo.

The casino night event will take place Friday, Nov. 14 at Hemingway’s in Seaside Heights. It will be held from 6-11 p.m and include a buffet dinner, table games and a gift auction.
