Both the Brick Township High School Dragons and Brick Memorial High School Mustangs were victorious on the football field this weekend.
The Dragons got off to their first 3-0 start since 2003, the Shore Sports Network reported, as Brick dominated Toms River East 48-6. Once again, SQ Carmen Sclafani was the star of the game, throwing two touchdown passes, while Ray Fattaruso and Ja’Sir Taylor each accounted for three total touchdowns, according to the Shore Sports Network report.
Meanwhile, Brick Memorial bested the Lacey Lions, 31-20, with QB Tim Santiago running for two touchdowns and passing for another, according to the Shore Sports Network. Kicker Matt Cuppari, a week after nailing a game-winning 40 yard field goal, kicked a 37-yard field goal to contribute to the win.
