The Brick Dragons started their season strong Saturday, with the cross-town Mustangs in their crosshairs.
Old Brick shut out the Dragons 42-0 led by QB Carmen Sclafani, who accounted for 305 yards between rushing and passing, the Shore Sports Network reported. Sclafani also broke through the Mustangs’ defense in a 21-yard TD run, seen in the video above, also from the Shore Sports Network.
The Dragons won a state sectional championship last year, their first since 1994, and look poised to be a dominant force in the A-South again this season. Next week, the Dragons will take on Southern Regional on Friday at 7 p.m. The Mustangs will face off against Toms River North on Saturday at 1 p.m.
