The long-time operator of the Brick Beach III snack stand will not be returning for the 2015 beach season.
The township council unanimously voted this week to award a contract to Park Eats, of Holmdel, to run the stand next season.
Council President Susan Lydecker said the township mailed out 56 bid packets, two of which were returned with an interested bidder. The current vendor bid $83,121 for the 2015 season, but was outbid by Park Eats, which will pay $120,159.
