Brick kept its 4-0, undefeated record intact, outlasting the Jackson Memorial High School Jaguars in a “thrilling” 30-24 overtime win, according to the Shore Sports Network.
With Jackson trailing by six points but threatening from the Brick 17, junior outside linebacker Jordan Keefe held his ground and drove the Jaguar’s QB back one yard, stopping the Jackson Memorial drive and ensuring Brick’s victory, the Shore Sports Network report said.
Stopping Jackson came after QB Carmen Sclafani scored the go-ahead touchdown in overtime just minutes after throwing the tying touchdown with four minutes to go in regulation, the report said. Throughout the game, neither team had more than a one touchdown lead, with each side’s defense stopping multiple drives.
