The Brick Memorial Mustangs were victorious over the Toms River North Raiders in a 27-7 victory Saturday night, putting up their third consecutive win of the season.
The Mustang offense ran for 271 yards in 45 attempts, with senior fullback Connor Owen running for 138 yards and scoring two touchdowns in the process, the Shore Sports Network said in a report.
“We really just looked to get every player the ball,” Owen told a Shore Sports Network reporter. “Anybody on the team can run for 100 yards, it’s just a matter of what the defense gives you.”
The game also included 47 and 25 yard touchdown runs by QB Tim Santiago.
Memorial, now with a record of 3-1 after an opening week loss to Brick Township, will face Old Bridge next week on the road, followed by matchups against Jackson Memorial, Middletown South and Toms River South, the Shore Sports Network report said.
