Toms River police have arrested a township resident for heroin distribution following an investigation.
Dawan Jeter, a resident of Tolerance Court in the Hopes Crossing condominium complex, was arrested Wednesday after his home was raided by members of the Toms River Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team, police spokesman Ralph Stocco said. The search of the home concluded a month long investigation regarding the distribution of heroin within the township.
Jeter, the target of the investigation, was arrested and found to be in possession of 590 wax folds of heroin and over $500 in U.S. currency, Stocco said. He was charged with possession of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute heroin. Bail was set at $10,000.
