Sally Ike Road in Brick remains coned off at Ridge Road following a late accident on Christmas Eve.
Cones blocking traffic from proceeding past Ridge Road (near the township recycling center) remained in place around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The accident occurred Wednesday night at about 11:45 p.m. The accident involved a car that hit a utility pole, bringing down electrical wires. No injuries were reported in the accident.
There was no immediate timetable as to when the road would be reopened.

Sally Ike, known as Metedeconk Road in Wall, to which it connects, runs along the east side of the BTMUA reservoir.
