Toms River cops raided an Adams Avenue home early Friday morning, seizing a pound of marijuana, oxycodone pills and $5,000 in cash in the process, authorities said.
After the search of the home at 2400 Adams Avenue by the Toms River Police Emergency Services Unit and Special Enforcement Team, Scott Mays, 33, the target of the investigation, was taken into custody, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River police spokesman. Also located within the residence was a scale and packaging material used to measure and distribute the marijuana, said Stocco.
Mays has prior felony convictions for drug possession, according to police.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of oxycodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
