Motorists are being urged to avoid the Garden State Parkway’s northbound lanes in Brick as well as Chambers Bridge Road near the Parkway overpass due to delays caused by a crane that tipped over in the area.

The state Department of Transportation said the accident occurred just north of interchange 90, in which the crane tipped down an emabkment. There were reports of at least one person being injured in the accident with a medevac helicopter called to fly from Brick Township High School.
