“We all know what a beautiful and unique place Brick Township is and this contest will allow everyone to enjoy some of the natural beauty that makes up our town,” said Mayor John G. Ducey, in a statement. “I applaud the Shade Tree Commission for their creativity and effort in highlighting the importance of Arbor Day, not only this year, but each and every year.”

Residents who would like to participate can photograph, or send in a previously-taken photo of a tree or trees located within the borders of Brick Township. They should submit the photo along with the approximate location of the tree and their contact information via email to shadetree@bricktownship.net. The photos will be posted to the township Facebook page, where the public will be able to vote for their favorites by “liking” the photos.
