The Brick Township council this week awarded a contract to the operator of a concession stand at Windward Beach.
Following a public bidding process, the council awarded a contract to Cool Concessions, of Brick, to operate a mobile food concession stand at the park for the summer season.
Cool Concessions will pay $525 to the township, an amount that came in above the minimum bid of $250, Council President Paul Mummolo said.

The concession truck will offer “a variety of items,” Business Administrator Joanne Bergin said, including coffee, tea, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, rolls and assorted other food during the day.
In addition to being open daily at the park, the vendor will be able to sell items at certain township events held at the park, such as the weekly Farmers Market, but will not be allowed to sell food during Summerfest and Bricktoberfest events, which have their own dedicated food vendors under separate contracts.
