Former New York Mets and Yankees pitcher Al Leiter, an Ocean County native, has teamed up with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office to produce a public service announcement that will play in movie theaters throughout the county this summer.
Leiter, who grew up in Berkeley Township and graduated from Central Regional High School, is currently an analyst for MLB Network. The PSA, recorded in the MLB Network studios, talks about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse and warns moviegoers, “do not think it will never happen to someone you care about.”
