The Brick Township Police Department will be conducting a Police Explorer Academy for interested and qualified youth candidates, the department has announced.
The department is currently seeking new members for Police Explorer Post No. 230. Applicants must be 15-20 years old or have graduated 8th grade. Applications are available at the traffic safety window during normal business hours or through Patrolman Ryan Talty or Patrolman Brian Foley. The deadline for applications is Sept. 30.
Law Enforcement Exploring is a worksite-based program sponsored by a local law enforcement agency, in this case, the Brick Township Police Department. The purpose is to help young men and women – age 14 who have completed eighth grade or are 15-20 years of age – get an inside look at the field and make an educated and informed decision about a career in law enforcement.
