Brick police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they say stole a smartphone from a township Verizon store.

The man, pictured in this story, stole the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus Sept. 6 from the Verizon store on Brick Boulevard, said Sgt. Larry Petrola. The subject then ran out of the store and fled toward Cedar Bridge Avenue. The incident occurred at 4:33 p.m., during regular business hours, said Petrola.

He is believed to be a male who has a tattoo of flames on his left arm, Petrola said.
