Firefighters from the Herbertsville Fire Company battled a blaze that consumed a home on Deer Path, a tiny street off Tanager Way in the Herbertsville section, Sunday night.
The three-alarm blaze consumed the sole home on the street, which backs up to the Manasquan River. At one point during the fire, the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority was called to boost water pressure in the area.
All of Brick’s fire companies, as well as the Silverton, Ramtown and Point Pleasant Beach companies, responded.
