Forecasters are predicting two days of foul weather for the Shore area, which may bring tidal flooding and some accumulating snow to the region.
According to the forecast early Monday morning from the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, snow is likely before 1 p.m. Mondy, accumulating less than an inch. Additional snow Monday night will also accumulate to a minimal degree, less than an inch. Snow that will fall between Tuesday and Tuesday night will accumulate between 1 and 3 inches.
The high Monday will be 37 degrees; the high Tuesday will be 36 degrees.
A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect until Tuesday at 1 p.m. The watch calls for “widespread minor coastal flooding” with localized moderate flooding in certain areas. The greatest chance for moderate coastal flooding is Tuesday morning, the forecast said.
Ocean waves will build to 8-12 feet during the next day, according to forecasters. “Significant” beach erosion is expected.
