The cast of the NBC reality fitness show “Strong” will lead a fitness exposition at next week’s Relay for Life event at Brick Township High School.
Strong cast member Todd Durkin, a Brick native, will be leading the cast through a fitness expo, autograph session, and Q&A, organizers said in an e-mail. Cast members have appeared in similar events across the country, but the Brick event will be unique since all of the money generated will go toward Brick’s Relay for Life, which raises funds to support the American Cancer Society.
Joining the cast of Strong at the Relay For Life, will be NFL Players, professional athletes, TV personalities and more, the e-mail said. The full list of who is attending will remain a surprise.
Relay for Life will be held next Friday, May 20, this year. Admission to the fitness expo is free, though donations will be accepted and sponsorship opportunities are available. The fitness expo will be held from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., during which attendees will be able to work out with Strong cast members. From 9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., there will be an opportunity for autographs, photos and the Q&A period.
The full Relay for Life event begins at 4 p.m. and wraps up Saturday morning.
