Residents of several streets around town will have fresh pavement soon, township officials said.
The township council this week voted to solicit bids for two separate paving projects – one in the northern Cedarcroft neighborhood, and one for various isolated streets around town that are in need of repaving.
“We’ve noticed around town that there are a few isolated streets that are in disrepair, but all the ones around them are in good shape,” said Council President Paul Mummolo, explaining the new isolated street paving program. “When you normally pave, you pave the whole neighborhood.”
There are 14 isolated streets identified as being in need of repaving, but the township will be able to tackle a maximum of six, and a minimum of four, this year. Those streets are: Firehouse Road, Shore Drive, Plaza Terrace and Ridge Road. The final two which may be included are G Street and Sunset Court.
The northern Cedarcroft project will include: North Cherokee Lane, Shawnee Drive, Cherokee Lane, Navajo Trail, Rancocas Drive, Lenape, Choctaw Lane and Apache Lane.
