Wall Township police manned a DWI checkpoint over the holiday weekend and increased patrols on numerous local roads, resulting in a number of arrests for drunk driving.
The arrests included:
- Miriam Jordan, 58, of Brick, for driving while intoxicated subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 35 and Allaire Road. After processing, she was released.
- Cynthia P. Brandtjen, 45, of Brick, for driving while intoxicated subsequent to a motor vehicle stop at 1931 Route 34. She was released after processing.
