Brick officials are planning a day of fall fun that is sure to have something for everyone.
Fall Fest will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Windward Beach Park. The day will feature free bounce houses for kids, and activities including pumping painting and scarecrow contests. There will also be a hay maze, six fire pits on the beach, and 14 food trucks including four desert trucks, Mayor John Ducey said. A beer and wine area will also be featured.
The day will conclude with a special fall-themed fireworks show at about 6:25 p.m., Ducey said, which will feature unique designs such as giant witches, scarecrows and even “ground fireworks,” that look giant sparklers.

The company that Brick contracts with for its summer fireworks is providing the fall show for free.
“The last two [Summerfest] shows, we had a lot of wind, so we only had a short show for two of those shows,” said Ducey.
