There’s something for everyone in Brick this weekend, beginning with one of the region’s largest car shows on Friday night.
The annual Summerfest Car Show kicks off at Windward Beach Park at 6 p.m. Friday. Presented by the Time Capsule Cruisers organization, the event has grown into one of the largest car shows in New Jersey with hundreds of cars and motorcycles on display. The car show is presented for free.
One of the last opportunities to visit the Brick Farmers Market comes Saturday morning. The Farmers Market last through Oct. 1 (there is no market Sept. 24). The market runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Windward Beach Park.
Finally, one of the township’s newest traditions – Kite Fest – will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Traders Cove Marina and Park, 40 Mantoloking Road. Spend a day building and flying kites! A limited number of kite kits will be available, but feel free to bring your own, officials say. The event is free of charge. Anyone with questions can call 732-262-1076.
